PRIVACY POLICY

Vet Shops places great importance on your privacy. That’s why we have established a privacy policy that outlines how we collect, store, use, and modify your data. Please take a moment to read what our privacy policy entails, and let us know if you have any questions.

1. Collection and Use of Personal Data

Personal data refers to information that can be used to identify or contact a specific individual. When you interact with Vet Shops, you may be asked to provide personal information. Vet Shops may use this personal information in accordance with its privacy policy. We may also combine this personal data with other information in order to deliver and improve our products and services.

2. Purpose of Processing Personal Data

Vet Shops processes your personal data in order to conclude and carry out purchase-sale agreements in which you act as the buyer. The collected data is used to process your orders, deliver goods, and send your invoices. We may also use your personal data to keep you informed about our commercial activities.

  • Delivery details

  • Turnover

3.2 About the veterinarian:

  • Name, address, phone number, email address
  • VAT information
  • Correspondence details
  • Performance history
  • Bank account number

4. Recipients of the data provided

The data provided is solely intended for internal use by Vet Shops and will not be used for any purpose other than those described above (see point 2).

5. Disclosure of data to third parties

The personal data you provide to Vet Shops will not be made available to third parties, except for those essential commercial details that must allow your veterinarian to verify the accuracy of their compensation.

6. Objection to data provision

You may always object to providing your personal data when it is intended for commercial purposes. However, you cannot object to providing your data or your veterinarian's data when it is necessary for the conclusion or execution of a purchase-sale agreement.

7. Right of access

If at any point you have provided your personal data to Vet Shops, either directly or indirectly, you always have the right to know your data and its origin. To do so, contact us via one of the methods listed in point 8 and provide proof of your identity. We will respond to your request within 45 calendar days of receipt. You may request free correction of any incorrect data concerning you, as well as deletion of incomplete, irrelevant, or prohibited data, or object to its use. If you request a correction, we will respond within one month, including information about the corrections or deletions made.

8. Requests

You may submit a request for access, correction, deletion, or transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to: info@vetshops.be

To ensure that the request for access was made by you, we ask that you include a copy of your ID with your request. Please black out your photo, ID number, and date of birth. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as quickly as possible.

9. Guarantees regarding data retention

9.1 Quality

At regular intervals, and at least once a year, you as the data provider will be contacted to confirm whether the data we hold about you is still accurate and complete.

9.2 Confidentiality

Vet Shops ensures that only those employees whose roles require access to personal data for their tasks within the company will have access to your data.

All Vet Shops employees have been informed of and comply with the legal provisions regarding data protection.

9.3 Security

The data is stored in secure files on a computer system managed by Vet Shops, and is thus protected against accidental or malicious breaches, as well as unauthorized processing.

9.4 Retention period

Personal data that is no longer necessary for achieving the intended purpose, as defined in point 2, will be anonymized so that identification is no longer possible.

10. Right of appeal

If you encounter difficulties in exercising your rights under the Privacy Law, or if Vet Shops fails to comply with its obligations under that law, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority. You may also file a complaint directly with the Public Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in your place of residence, or bring the matter before the President of that court.
